Prof. Isaac Mbeche deputy vice chancellor, Students Affairs yesterday commissioned wheelchairs to be used by students with disability at the college. One motor and two manual wheelchairs were purchased by the college, a vehicle was also in the of process of being procured to be used by disabled students at the college. Speaking during the event the deputy vice chancellor who was representing the Vice Chancellor at the launch said the university management was committed to providing an enabling environment for students with disabilities enrolled at the university. One of the beneficiary was Lydia Moraa a Bsc. Student school of education, She received a motor enabled wheelchair that will enable her move around the campus and also during lectures which has been a challenge since the lecture halls are a distant far.

Present during the commissioning were: Prof. Isaac Jumba, Principal, College of Education and External Studies, Prof. Horace Ochanda, Deputy College Principal, Director for Centre for Pedagogy & Andragogy (CEPA) Prof. Dogolo Patrick Obonyo and his deputy Dr. Justus Inyega, Prof. Harriet Kidombo (Dean, SCDE), prof. Winston Akala, Dean school of Education, Asst. Dean prof. C. M. Gakuu (PG) among other academic, non-academic staff members and students present during the occasion.

After the occasion the deputy vice chancellor also took time to check out various projects that are underway at the college and congratulated the college principal Prof. Isaac Jumba for the good job.
